Response/Solution

The Band Perry is an American country music group composed of siblings Kimberly Perry (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Reid Perry (bass guitar, background vocals), and Neil Perry (mandolin, drums, accordion, background vocals). They signed to Republic Nashville in August 2009 and released their self-titled debut album on October 12, 2010. From this album, “If I Die Young” reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs and Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts and has been certified 6x multi-platinum. Their second album, Pioneer, produced additional number one singles in “Better Dig Two” and “Done“, plus the top 10 hits “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely” and “Chainsaw“. Blessed with an expressive and fiery vocal style, Kimberly and her brothers merged country, pop and rock elements into a sharp contemporary sound.

The single “Live Forever” appeared in mid-2015. The summer of 2016 brought “Comeback Kid,” which crested just inside the Top 40 of country airplay. Early in 2017, the Band Perry announced their third album, My Bad Imagination, and an accompanying single, “Stay in the Dark.”

Outcome/Results

Attendee response: “One of the best nights ever!”.

At the first song the audience hit the dance floor, surrounded the stage and stayed there for the duration of the show. Yes, the band played all of their hits and a few of their new songs. You know what else they did? They created a medley of Rock & Roll and R&B classics. They performed them as well or better than the originals!  How far do you think that went with an audience who may have initially wondered if the band could hold their attention?

Aside from the bands stellar performance and the fun that was had by all, we think it may have occurred to a few attendees on their plane ride home, that this company created the theme of the conference with great intention. It was important enough to weave it through every element of the conference. We’re pretty sure it made an impact!
