A major technology client, Service Management Group “SMG”, hired Bishop-McCann to plan and execute their 2018 Forum Convention for more than 250 attendees. Forum is SMG’s annual client and prospect gathering of senior and C-level executives from leading retail, restaurant and multi-service based companies. This event is an opportunity for SMG clients to network with one another and for SMG to build a stronger relationship with clients. Forum 2018 was SMG’s 19th annual event.
SMG’s primary goals for Bishop-McCann when planning the event were to maintain or reduce costs as event quality and attendance increased, increase ROI and keep it fresh enough to maintain or exceed ever-growing attendance goals and internal client satisfaction scores year over year.
This three-day convention, held at the beautiful Four Seasons Las Vegas, was designed with the perfect combination of general business sessions, interactive workshops, engaging keynote speakers, award presentations, networking and FUN!
The program’s theme entitled “techmanity” was created to support the company’s message that focused on finding human truths in data. The general business session was packed with engaging keynote presenters including Chip Conley, Airbnb, Strategic Advisor, Author & Speaker; Frances Frei, Uber, SVP of Leadership Strategy; Denny Post, CEO, Red Robin; Steve Barbarick, President, Tractor Supply Co.; Diana Kander, Author & Business Innovator. Director HR, Technology Tractor Supply Co. Interactive workshops based on small-group roundtables let SMG’s clients get hands-on and dive deep to learn real, business-changing insights. The evening programs tied it all together with a poolside reception produced by Bishop-McCann production partner Platinum KC who provided all audio & lighting experience for this technicolor techmanity theme.
Bishop-McCann provided a dedicated program management team to partner closely with the SMG marketing team. With the attendee experience as the primary focus, our account team flawlessly executed each program component including hotel sourcing and negotiation, guest accommodations, meeting room set-up, food and beverage management, décor and ground transportation. Bishop-McCann’s program operations also worked closely with Platinum KC and Las Vegas-based Destination by Design to create a welcome reception, general session, breakout sessions and a poolside reception that not only aligned with the meeting strategy but also engaged, inspired and motivated the audience with an immersive stage design that utilized intelligent lighting fixtures, two offset screens, a lit stage, transparent podium and LED video wall center screen with customized content.
