Dave Deitzer is an experienced accountant who enjoys working to help aspirational entrepreneurs and small business owners overcome obstacles and build thriving organizations. He values making informed decisions that prioritize focus and efficiency, so team members can be successful and have a high quality of life. He received his BS in Accounting from the University of Scranton and is a Certified Management Accountant.
Dave’s business career (which began after a great experience as a U.S. Marine) includes working for large, well-run companies in the pharmaceutical and advertising industries, as well as building his own accounting advisory business. After selling that business, he was able to take time off to hike the entire Appalachian Trail with his son.
“From the Marines, I learned that a team is powerful, honor is foundational, and overcoming obstacles is possible. From working in large pharmaceutical and global advertising industries, I learned to understand organizations, culture, and group dynamics. From owning my first accounting and advisory business, I learned how to manage risks, be resilient, and provide value to my clients.” His life experiences have inspired him to help others pursue their own adventures and find worth in their hardships and successes.
Dave grew up in Northeast Pennsylvania, where he enjoyed the unique culture and great food. He is a transplant to the Kansas City area and is excited to be closer to family, explore local restaurants, and cheer on the Chiefs. When not working, he prioritizes time with his family, whether outdoors or around a table filled with good food, good friends, and good conversation. He has been married to his wife, Jackie, for 32 years, and they have three grown children and one granddaughter.
