Nashville Sales Meetings Sets the Stage for a Standout Year
At a Glance
A leading organization in the life sciences industry partnered with Bishop-McCann for the first time to design and deliver a high-impact life sciences conference that would launch their 2026 fiscal year with clarity, confidence, and momentum.
Hosted at the Grand Hyatt Nashville, this three-day sales meeting brought together 365 attendees for immersive learning, peer engagement, and recognition — all centered around one unifying message: “Own the Stage.”

By the Numbers
- 365 attendees
- 3-day life sciences conference
- 11 concurrent sessions, repeated 5 times on the first day
- 1 custom-written conference anthem
- Multiple live “insta-hit” performances
- 1 off-site group dinner at Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery
Opportunity
As a first-time collaboration, this life sciences conference represented more than just a sales meeting; it was the foundation of a new partnership. Approaching the program through a true all-agency lens, Bishop-McCann integrated creative, production, and logistics from the start to ensure the strategy aligned seamlessly with the client’s goals.
The client’s primary objective was to equip their sales representatives with the training, insights, and confidence necessary to begin FY2026 strong. They wanted:
- Peer-to-peer learning and shared best practices
- Role playing and skill simulations
- Practical tools that could be referenced throughout the year
- Meaningful networking and recognition

Outcome
The theme “Own the Stage” became the guiding framework for the entire life sciences conference visually, emotionally, and experientially.
To support peer engagement and performance confidence, the program included:
- Interactive breakout workshops with role playing and simulations
- A collaborative co-writing session for peer learning
- A podcast recording studio called the “Hot Takes Lounge” where attendees captured best practices for ongoing internal use
- A mobile app game that built energy and friendly competition throughout the event
Entertainment partner, Song Division, elevated engagement by acting as the house band and creating a custom conference anthem written with live attendee input collected via a QR code survey. The anthem reinforced collective pride and ownership.
Additionally, personalized “insta-hits” were written and performed for individual attendees during the welcome reception. The performers learned a few details about individual attendees to create these “hits,” and the songs acted as an unexpected element to elevate energy and reinforce the event’s theme.
The agenda balanced learning with connection. A full-group off-site networking experience was held at a local distillery, moving beyond previous dine-around formats to bring the entire audience together. To close the conference, a celebratory awards dinner reimagined the “Own the Stage” theme in rich reds and golds for a premiere-style recognition experience.

Creative Conceptualization
To ensure the experience and the creative design aligned with the established objectives, Bishop-McCann invested more than five hours in discovery calls with the client and all key decision makers. These conversations explored feedback from previous meetings, clarified 2026 business priorities, and uncovered what success truly needed to look like for this life sciences conference.
From that strategic foundation, the theme “Own The Stage” was born. The concept was intentionally woven throughout the program from scenic design, messaging, music, and agenda naming to co-writing jam sessions, environmental branding, and gifting.
From RFP to renderings and execution, our team developed general session scenic that translated the event theme into a bold, engaging environment, highlighting the importance of creative stage design. Below showcases the original RFP rendering, the “Own the Stage” rendering after finalizing the theme, and the actual stage brought to life.

Final Experience
As attendees entered the conference, they were met by the roar of a live band playing and a smoky haze drifting through the room, instantly creating the feeling of a live concert. With leadership at the door to welcome them, the high-energy atmosphere made it clear they were stepping into a true spectacle. These concert-inspired elements were carried throughout the experience with strategic touches, including the use of “insta-hit” songs as we leaned into the Nashville-inspired atmosphere.
For the off-site group dinner, our clients wanted to experience Nashville but not necessarily downtown Broadway, so Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery offered a perfect location. Providing various spaces to experience whiskey tastings, live music, and opportunities to learn about the distillery in self-guided tours, attendees were able to network and enjoy their evening. Plus, the newest employees were given the opportunity to meet senior leadership, further enhancing the event’s value for participants.
By the close of the conference, attendees had not only gained tactical knowledge; they had actively participated in building the culture and energy for the year ahead. From collaborative sessions to anthem creation, every touchpoint reinforced confidence, visibility, and shared momentum. The life sciences conference concluded with a sense of alignment and excitement that extended far beyond the final session.

JOY Moments
JOY was intentionally designed into the experience in both large and small ways:
- An AI-powered photo booth transformed attendees into on-stage “rock stars”
- Live anthem creation with attendee contributions, performed at the awards night
- Surprise personalized “insta-hit” performances
- A high-energy awards celebration with a bold, premiere-inspired design

One attendee shared:
“To me, the best part of ASC is the peer-to-peer discussions! Hearing other people’s success stories helps tremendously!”
Through immersive engagement, collaborative learning, and celebratory recognition, this life sciences conference empowered attendees to truly “Own the Stage” and set the tone for a successful fiscal year ahead.
