Bishop-McCann partnered with a leading pharmaceutical company for their President’s Club, a luxury recognition event designed to celebrate top-tier performers. The attendees included winners (1- or 2-time winners), Circle of Excellence (COE) winners (3+ time winners) and Hall of Fame (HOF) winner (6+ time winners). This marked Bishop-McCann’s fourth consecutive year managing this prestigious event for the client. The 5-day, 4-night experience took place at the luxurious Four Seasons Hualalai in Kona, Hawaii.

The primary objective was to deliver a seamless, high-end, and deeply memorable event that not only recognized past achievements but also inspired future performance, reinforcing company loyalty and pride among its highest achievers. Our team handled everything from logistics and air travel to activities, decor, giveback opportunity, entertainment, live production, sourcing, and event technology with elements like an event app.

Opportunity

Our challenge was to elevate an already premier luxury recognition event. The client sought to provide an exclusive, impactful, and well-deserved experience for their top performers, fostering loyalty and pride. Bishop-McCann’s challenge was to “level up” the event from previous years, ensuring every detail, from personalized touches to unexpected moments, reinforced the prestige of winning President’s Club. This involved creating a cohesive program balancing relaxation, inspiration, and connection while celebrating individual and collective success. A critical aspect was developing unique themes for each event experience, aligning them with the distinct atmosphere of the Hawaiian venues to ensure fresh and immersive gatherings.

Outcome

The President’s Club successfully delivered a seamless and impactful luxury recognition event that deeply resonated with attendees. The meticulous coordination of logistics, high-touch service, and thoughtful surprises ensured a personalized journey from invitation to farewell. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a dedicated hospitality lounge, where they were gifted traditional leis and Aloha Bags. This space also featured an interactive sea salt tasting station (offering a unique local gift) and a postcard station where attendees could write personalized notes to winners for a special final room drop. A dynamic recognition wall, themed around vintage Hawaiian albums, provided a unique photo opportunity and showcased the custom vinyl records winners would later receive as a keepsake.

Because the client’s goal was to ensure that each event felt distinct and immersive, we focused on creating a diverse range of moods and aesthetics throughout the program—making each gathering feel like a fresh and memorable experience. The welcome reception set a warm and elegant tone with the Golden Hour theme, capturing the beauty of a Hawaiian sunset and the ease of the evening. The COE reception embraced The Clubhouse Classic, offering a sophisticated yet playful nod to upscale golf culture. The awards/recognition night exuded Elemental Elegance, a refined celebration that beautifully blended earthy textures with metallic brilliance for a truly prestigious atmosphere. The after party transformed into a lively Tiki Speakeasy, featuring a vibrant band and glowing elements that infused a fun, secret-bar vibe. Finally, the farewell party provided a Tropical Wind Down, a relaxed and breezy atmosphere signaling a casual, fun, and retro farewell to paradise. 

In addition to the thoughtfully planned themed gatherings, guests also had the opportunity to choose from a wide range of activities during their stay, including Hawaiian cultural experiences, cooking classes, deep-sea fishing, golfing, spa treatments, hiking to Kohala Waterfalls, ziplining, snorkeling, and a volcano tour. Attendees felt genuinely celebrated, valued, and inspired, reinforcing company loyalty and motivation for future performance. The integration of exclusive gift pop-up shops and personalized room drops further enhanced the sense of appreciation.

Final Experience

Attendee experience was at the heart of every decision we made for this President’s Club event. From the moment guests arrived to their departure from the island, we focused on delivering a personalized, seamless, and JOY-filled experience. We prioritized anticipating needs before they arose, offering a high-touch level of service, and weaving thoughtful surprises throughout the program.  

To create true attendee JOY, we incorporated intentional, elevated details that went beyond the expected. This included a choice of welcome amenities, unique off-site excursions that offered both luxury and local flavor, and unexpected “wow” moments—such as upgraded suites and additional recognition for COE/HOF winners. We also paid close attention to pacing and balance, giving guests time to relax, connect, and feel truly celebrated. These elements combined to evoke a sense of delight, appreciation, and lasting impact.

Additionally, the option for Circle of Excellence/Hall of Fame winners to participate in an ocean raft night swim with manta rays added another layer of exclusivity. This incredible tour was named one of the 10 things you must do in your lifetime by the Travel Channel, and this amazing experience can only be done at 3 places on the entire planet. Guests departed feeling pampered, connected, and profoundly appreciated, carrying forward memories of a truly exceptional celebration of their achievements. Every detail of this luxury recognition event was curated to reflect the prestige of winning President’s Club—personalized, immersive, and unforgettable. 

Unique Feature

This incentive trip was distinguished by several unique features designed to deliver an unparalleled experience. Exclusive recognition for Circle of Excellence and Hall of Fame winners included an invite-only reception that culminated in an unforgettable ocean raft night swim and manta ray experience. Attendees enjoyed personalized gifting opportunities at two on-site pop-up shops, offering high-end Cariuma shoes (a sustainable brand that plants a tree for every pair of shoes sold and ethically sources natural materials) and pro-athlete-tested Legends apparel. Thoughtful touches extended to guest accommodations with four distinct room drops, each featuring various luxury and local Hawaiian treats.  

Maui reforestation giveback activity

A truly meaningful community giveback allowed attendees to actively participate in reforestation efforts on Maui, planting native plants to help preserve and protect the ‘aina (land) after recent wildfires, providing a tangible and positive impact. Finally, an innovative recognition wall themed around vintage “Hawaiian Albums” celebrated each winner, providing them with a customized album cover and playlist as a unique keepsake.
