For over 15 years, she held marketing and event marketing roles at Sprint Corporation, working with various business partners, including advertising agencies, internal and third-party retailers, major airlines, sports sponsorships, and major record labels to develop and manage segment-specific strategies. Skilled in budget management, project assessment/sensitivity analysis, project training, and financial analysis, Melissa was recognized with multiple Sprint internal awards for managing results-driven projects with a strong eye on the bottom line.
Melissa has held meeting management positions for the Travel Industry Association of America in Washington, DC, Creative Travel in Kansas City, Missouri, and operated her own company for 13 years. She specialized in sourcing, planning, and on-site execution of international meetings, educational conferences, product launches, and marketing events. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and French and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Kansas.
