JOY CREATORS

Sheri Courteau
Director of People & Culture

Sheri Courteau creates JOY by designing meaningful associate experiences that help people feel connected, supported, and empowered to do their best work. As Director of People and Culture, she leads Bishop-McCann’s people strategy, partnering with leaders across the organization to cultivate an exceptional associate experience while building the programs, processes, and culture that help both associates and the business succeed.

After spending more than a decade as a professional school counselor, Sheri discovered her passion wasn’t just helping individuals overcome challenges – it was creating environments where they could grow, succeed, and become the best versions of themselves. That passion led her into human resources and ultimately into people and culture leadership, where she combines empathy with strong organizational skills, process improvement, and solution-focused thinking. Sheri believes authenticity, trust, and of course, humor, are the foundation of meaningful relationships and high-performing teams.

Known for her approachable leadership style, Sheri enjoys solving complex challenges, developing leaders, and creating scalable people programs that strengthen Bishop-McCann’s culture of curiosity, collaboration, accountability, and JOY.

Outside of work, Sheri embraces anything that gets her outdoors. She loves adventuring with her husband and three boys, DIY projects, exploring nature, traveling, and creating joyful memories with her family. When she’s not on the go, you’ll likely find her relaxing by a fire or rocking on her front porch, soaking in the simple moments.
